7 Easy All-Natural Beauty Treatments That Will Leave Your Skin Glowing!

With many of us in self-isolation, most businesses, including salons and spas, have had to close their doors for the safety of our communities. If you're not working, you probably have a lot of time on your hands. (You can learn about Staying Busy (and Sane) During Self-Isolation here.) With all the closures, many women are wondering how they're going to maintain their looks. Due to #SocialDistancing, for the next little while, you won't be able to:

  • Get your hair done

  • Go for a Mani/Pedi

  • Get a facial

  • Go to the store to buy our skincare products


Also, if there's a national state of emergency and due to many borders closing, you won't be able to order products online and get them within a decent amount of time. These are all deemed nonessential services and due to #Covid19, you're going to have to take a whole new approach to skincare, health, and life in general. I'm not trying to scare people with this post, I just want you to know that things are changing and we all need to get ready. Not just for now, for the future as well.


There are tons of other reasons besides #Covid19 to go natural with your skincare regime, some of which you can read right here. The chemicals alone are enough to keep me away from most skincare lines. Additionally, all of the beauty treatments below are way less expensive than the top of the line natural skincare products!






These beauty treatments are easy and work just as well as store-bought products, if not better! Relax and enjoy it! Stay well, my friends!




1. Gimme Some Sugar Lip Scrub 💋


This delicious recipe is hard to eat, but you must save it for your lips!


Ingredients:

  • 2 TBSP brown sugar

  • 1 TBSP raw honey

  • 1 TBSP olive or coconut oil


  • Combine and apply onto lips.

  • Scrub, Rinse, and Moisturize for the most unbelievably soft and kissable lips 💋


The brown sugar exfoliates the dead skin off chapped and dry lips, while the honey heals them, and the oil nourishes and protects them. No lip kit required!


2. Mellow Matcha Face Mask 🍵


Relax and refresh and your skin restores and nourishes itself with the ingredients of this mask.


Ingredients:

  • 1 TSP pure matcha tea powder

  • 1 TSP plain yogurt


  • Cream the powder and yogurt together and apply it to your face.

  • Leave for 15-20 minutes and wash off with warm water.



Matcha has calming properties and is mineral antioxidant-rich, while the god bacteria in yogurt nourishes your skin and promotes new, healthy skin cells

3. Berrylicious Babe Face Mask 🍓


This mask is the most simple, yet so nourishing and detoxifying. Don't eat it all, let it do its work!


Ingredient:

  • 6 fresh raspberries


  • Squash berries and apply directly to the skin.

  • Leave for 15 minutes and wash off with warm water.




Raspberries are packed full of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. They're great to eat, but they're so good for your skin too!




4. Blemish-Busting Sunflower Mask 🌻


Sunflower seeds make a great snack, but did you know that they're good for your skin too?


Ingredients:

  • 1 TSP raw honey

  • 1 TSP olive oil

  • ½ cup of ground sunflower seeds


  • Heat honey in the microwave.

  • Add the olive oil and gently stir.

  • Mix in sunflower seeds and let cool.

  • Apply to a clean face.

  • Leave for 30 minutes.

  • Wash off and moisturize.


Sunflower seeds are high in vitamins A, B, and E, honey is a known acne and scar healer, and olive oil nourishes and protects your skin.




5. Taters for Tired Eyes. 🥔


Another one-ingredient beauty treatment. This one isn't so delicious to eat raw but has great effects on those puffy, tired eyes.


Ingredients:

  • Two thick potato slices.


  • Place the slices on your eyes and leave for 15 minutes.

  • Rinse with lukewarm water to get the starch off your eyelids.



Potatoes are detoxifying and high in vitamins A and C. They're also anti-inflammatory.



6. Green Tea Glow Toner 🍵


Getting the 'glow' look has been a trend that everyone's loving! Get it naturally with the powers of green tea!


Ingredients:

  • Green tea bag

  • 1 cup of water

  • Few drops of apple cider vinegar


  • Place a teabag in a boiling cup of water. Let cool. Add a few drops of apple cider vinegar.

  • Use the tea bag as a cotton ball and apply it to your face. Dry and moisturize.


Green tea is well known as being pack full of antioxidants, which makes it a perfect toner for your skin. Apple cider vinegar is also a well known astringent. The two together pair well as a mild toner for any skin type.



7. Cool as a Cucumber Mask 🥒


Moisturize and refresh your skin with this one-ingredient mask!


Ingredient

  • 1 cup of cucumber slices


  • Puree the slices and apply them directly to your skin. Leave on and relax for 20 minutes.

  • Rinse off with cool water and moisturize.


Your skin will feel refreshed and restored
